Little Brownings and Frobisher Court

This little estate is one I came across by chance, when I was out photographing the Overhill Estate.

It's an interesting combination of what looks like a 1980s office building and some really cute houses.

The entrance hall is so pretty. A little side table with flowers, patterned tiles, exposed brick, a wooden door and a white, spirally handrail.

  1. Not council! :)

Private estate - always been that way. Built early 60's. Same design as the nearby larger Dulwich Wood Estate of Lymer Avenue/Farquhar Road. The tower is the same design as Grenville/Marlowe/Raleigh Court. Lots of original features that Dulwich Estate retain.

  2. Frobisher Court sits very near the top of the ridge between London and the escarpment down towards Kent & Surrey - The top point is Eliot Bank. The top floor of Frobisher court looks over Eliot Bank across much of Kent & Surrey, and in the other direction clear across London to the heights of Hampstead, down the Estuary towards Southend, upriver towards Teddington.

This little block must have one of the best viewpoints in London, and it's virtually unknown outside the residents.
